Is there a way to have success in network marketing if I am clueless to using online tactics?

Let’s face it, not everyone can understand and work the internet like a pro. So for network marketers, offline marketing may be the perfect solution for success. Here we will take a peek inside some of the most successful offline marketing tactics that you can take advantage of.

All offline marketing tactics can make you as successful as an online pro in network marketing. Keep in mind that all of these tactics need to be practiced in massive action. Don’t just do them here and there, take them on fully and go nuts with them!

Drop Cards/ Business Cards

Yes, everyone has business cards. So why not make the most from them. You can do so much more than just hand them to a person whom you’ve spoke to, but get them out to a wider audience by:

  • Posting them to bulletin boards
  • On Car windows
  • In books of the same niche at bookstores
  • Leave them in public places (some allow it)
  • Mail them with bills

Many ideas can come from getting your business card in front of other’s eyes. Just get to it, more ideas will come to you as you practice this tactic.

 Guerrilla Marketing

Here is where you get a little crazy, but have a lot of fun with it. You need leads? How far are you willing to go?

  • Posting stickers in drive thru’s
  • Writing in chalk on the sidewalk
  • Calling in at a local radio show
  • Getting your name in the story of a newspaper (make sure it’s not a bad reason)
  • Donating your products as gifts

 Card Grabs

Simply put, you are finding others who are leaving their cards out and giving them a call. You can find other business owners hanging flyers (such as you should too) and get their info. You can also do this online by searching for local distributors in your area and seeing if they are open to a new project.

 Contest Entry Boxes

Put out a box, and give something away. Here is where you find the targeted leads in offline marketing tactics. You can give away a product, and when people put their name and contact info in to win, you know they have some sort of an interest in what you have. One winner, everyone else is second place and they get perhaps a free ebook, samples, or invites to a presentation. Use your imagination, but get the boxes out in as many places as possible. Be sure to gather all your boxes within 2 weeks of putting them all out. Waiting too long kind of kills the momentum and excitement.

  Posters and Signs

You may be thinking, duh. Or you may think “Tried it, never works”. But I know people personally who used this tactic and made millions in their network marketing company. The trick to posters and signs is to do them in large numbers. You also could put some type of symbol or logo so they can be remembered by the individual who will see them in various places.
You will want to find places to place signs in high traffic areas. Asking people who own land in these areas to hang a sign would be a suggestion. Sometimes they can be compensated for allowing you to place a sign in their yard. Make sure the sign carries the same logo as the posters or car magnets. people will need to see the poster 3 to 10 times before they take action. Most people will never fully put this tactic to work strong enough or long enough to take full effect.

Jaye, excellent offline marketing tactics! Too many people get too focused on online marketing because it’s fast and free, however I’m not so sure they realize just how competitive it is online and more importantly how short the attention span is for people online (mere seconds). The methods you mention receive a long and personal exposure where people will spend the time to actually read it. (a captured audience), great stuff - thanks!

I have done the post-it note with sizzle cards. That worked pretty well. Just another way to get exposure!
