Today I was on Linkedin, reviewing a discussion I had created for a large group I am currently in. I asked a question about Network Marketing, and asked if others could share their opinions and add value to the discussion. I first got some good responses and quickly it turned into an advertising discussion, filled with spam comments, so I decided to write about it.

In Network Marketing, we need to learn that spam doesn’t work. In the case of me writing the Linkedin discussion, people seen it as a way to throw a link to their company, just hoping it would excite someone to sign up with them. In most cases, these are the same people who wonder why they can’t get anyone to join their business.

The real way to build a network marketing business is to lead with value, and be a leader. By just throwing links at people who have not asked for them, it will turn away prospects. Leading with value will attract prospects.Spam_Mail (1)

However, many network marketers do not realize that spam doesn’t work. They believe the more links they put out, the more the more people will buy or join. However, like today on Linkedin, these people looked more desperate than anything. People are on Linkedin to build the business they already have, not join another one to struggle with.

Become a person who can help others. Become a person who people will believe can help them get to the next level. Become a person who is better than spamming good conversations on Linkedin. Become a leader, and people will follow.

How to add value and become a leader is a total different subject. But if you find yourself as the one who is always throwing the links at people, and not in any way adding value to a discussion, I would surely take this in consideration. STOP spamming before people remember you as the desprerate network marketer. Begin investing time into learning how to become a leader. Hop on mastermind trainings each week that can teach you how to lead with value, marketing strategies, lead generation, and more.
